About Maartje:
Born in 1978, Maartje grew up in the Netherlands. Even as a little girl she was fascinated by the world of fashion. Watched every fashion show, made her own clothes for her dolls, knewing she would one day be working in fashion. While designing clothes was not her forte, she had to give up that dream. But ever when she got her first lipstick she knew that she had found her passion. Putting all of her friends in the seat, she copied all the styles of major magazines. When she saw an article about the House of Orange make-up school she found her dream. After college and during her first and even second job, she still couldn't let go of that dream. She finally signed up for the House of Orange make-up school and knew that she found what made her happy. After the make-up school, she started hairstyling at Mogeen Hairschool.
Today, based in Amsterdam, Maartje is working as a hair and make-up artist. Living the dream!
